Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to continuously move throughout the store during shift including twisting
- Frequent bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, twisting, and reaching during shift
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 lbs during shift
- Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma is preferred
- 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and selling
- Experience addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficient with basic technology such as point of sale and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to react under pressure, use good judgment in ambiguous situations, and be flexible and adaptable
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store's goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink
- Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by providing a guest-friendly environment, greeting and engaging guests, personalizing service, and recommending products and services
- Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
- Pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience
- Book appointments for and support services and in-store events to deliver unrivaled guest experiences and meet sales goals
- Take ownership of replenishment, organization, and maintenance of cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance
- Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests
- Support leadership team with cashier chat ins/outs and associate exit inspections
- Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services
- Share the benefits of guest loyalty programs with guests and associates, leading to excitement and accountability
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates
- Engage and influence peers to achieve peak productivity and performance
- Drive cashier accountability for delivering a personalized Ulta Beauty brand experience
- Participate in ongoing training including brand and category education
- Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards
- Adhere to dress code
- Complete all transactions and proper control of cash and media at the cashwrap
- Handle open and close register functions as directed
- Maintain store cleanliness including cashwrap, sales floor, restrooms, backroom, and break areas
- Protect company assets and minimize loss by meeting standards and safety procedures
- Execute other operational tasks as directed
