Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous retail or customer service experience desirable
  • demonstrated leadership or supervisory skills advantageous
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately

  • ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • basic computer literacy

Job Duties

  • Lead a shift of one-to-two cashiers to process all types of cash, credit, and debit transactions
  • complete end-of-shift reports and close out procedures
  • follow company and local guidelines regarding the sale of restricted merchandise such as alcohol and tobacco
  • maintain an organized and clean work area
  • use suggested selling methods to promote and sell products
  • ensure quality service is delivered to every guest
  • handle guest complaints and team member conflicts in accordance with company procedures
  • determine break schedules and team member placements during shifts
  • assist with other travel center functions including deli maintenance, cleaning showers and restrooms, stocking, and making coffee
  • model behaviors that support the company’s purpose and ensure guests and team members are supported
  • ensure all activities comply with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • complete other duties as assigned
