Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 18 years of age or older to hold the Lead Cashier position
- Continuous mobility throughout the store during shifts
- Frequent bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, twisting, and reaching
- Frequent lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds
- Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and selling
- Experience addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficient with Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to react under pressure and use good judgment
- Flexible and adaptable to changing situations
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store's sales, service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty (including credit), and retail shrink goals
- Ensure exceptional guest service by greeting, engaging, and personalizing recommendations
- Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously
- Pair guests with associates for makeup, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
- Book appointments and support in-store events to enhance guest experience and sales
- Maintain and organize all cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance
- Support inclusive environment for teammates and guests
- Complete cashier chat ins/outs and associate exit inspections
- Stay informed about beauty trends, products, and services
- Share guest loyalty program benefits and lead associates in the same
- Train new cashiers and cross-train associates in cashiering
- Engage and influence peers to achieve peak productivity
- Drive accountability for delivering a personalized Ulta Beauty brand experience
- Participate in ongoing training on brand and category education
- Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and dress code
- Complete all cashwrap transactions properly
- Perform register open and close functions
- Maintain store standards and cleanliness
- Protect company assets and minimize loss
- Execute other operational tasks as directed
