Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Demonstrated ability to manage guest transactions efficiently
- Ability to maintain cashwrap standards including cleanliness and organization
- Strong commitment to exceptional guest service
- Ability to train and cross-train associates
- Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures
- Ability to stand and move continuously throughout the store
- Capability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Strong attendance record
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma is preferred
- 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and competency for selling
- Experience addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficient with basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to react under pressure, use good judgment, and be flexible and adaptable
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store's goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink
- Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by providing a guest-friendly environment, greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service, and recommending products or services
- Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
- Pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience
- Book appointments for and support execution of services and in-store events
- Take ownership over replenishment, organization, and maintenance of all cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance
- Contribute to an inclusive environment supporting teammates, peers, and guests
- Support the leadership team by completing cashier chat ins and chat outs and associate exit inspections
- Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services and share knowledge with guests
- Promote the guest loyalty program including credit and the Ulta Beauty app and create excitement for loyalty goals
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates
- Engage and influence peers to achieve peak productivity and performance
- Drive cashier accountability to deliver personalized Ulta Beauty brand experience and follow system prompts
- Regularly participate in training and collaborate to grow the business
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards
- Adhere to dress code
- Complete all transactions and proper control of cash and media at the cashwrap
- Perform register open and close functions
- Maintain outstanding store standards and cleanliness
- Protect company assets and minimize loss by enforcing standards and procedures
- Execute other operational tasks as directed
