Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years old to hold the Lead Cashier role
- High school diploma preferred
- Two years relevant experience preferred
- Proficiency with technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and solve problems
- Availability for flexible work hours
- Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 25 lbs, and be mobile throughout the store during shifts
- Willingness to comply with company policies and dress code
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and sales
- Experience responding professionally to guest concerns
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficient with Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to handle pressure, use good judgment, and adapt flexibly
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit and retail shrink
- Ensure exceptional guest service by greeting and engaging guests, personalizing service, and recommending products or services
- Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
- Pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
- Book appointments and support execution of in-store services and events
- Maintain cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures for guest readiness
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance
- Support inclusive team environment and assist leadership with cashier chat ins, chat outs, and associate exit inspections
- Stay informed on industry trends and product knowledge to better serve guests
- Promote guest loyalty program benefits including credit and the Ulta Beauty app
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates
- Engage and influence peers to achieve productivity and performance goals
- Drive cashier accountability in delivering personalized brand experience
- Participate in ongoing training and collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and dress code
- Complete all transactions accurately and manage cash control
- Perform register open and close functions
- Maintain store cleanliness and standards across the salesfloor, cashwrap, and other areas
- Protect company assets by adhering to loss prevention and safety guidelines
- Execute other operational tasks as directed
