Job Requirements
- Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be 18 years of age or older to hold the Lead Cashier role
- Ability to continuously move throughout the store during the shift including twisting
- Frequent bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, twisting, and reaching
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 25 lbs.
- Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during the shift
- High school diploma preferred
- Two years of relevant work experience or equivalent education and experience preferred.

- Proficient with basic technology such as Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to react under pressure, use good judgment, and be flexible and adaptable.
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink
- Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by providing a guest-friendly environment, greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service, and recommending Ulta Beauty products and/or services
- Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
- Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by pairing them with an associate to perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
- Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events
- Take ownership over the replenishment, organization, and maintenance of all cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance
- Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests
- Support the leadership team by completing cashier chat ins and chat outs and associate exit inspections
- Take initiative to stay informed on new and existing industry trends, products, and services
- Share the benefits of the guest loyalty program and lead associates to do the same
- Assist in the training of new cashiers and cross-training other associates
- Lead and influence peers to achieve peak productivity and performance
- Drive cashier accountability in delivering an exceptional Ulta Beauty brand experience and following company systems
- Participate in ongoing training including brand and category education
- Collaborate with managers and associates throughout the store to grow the business
- Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards
- Adhere to the dress code
- Complete all transactions and proper cash/media control at the cashwrap
- Perform register open and close functions
- Maintain store standards and cleanliness including at the cashwrap, salesfloor, restrooms, backroom, and break area
- Protect company assets and minimize loss by following workplace safety, inventory control, and loss prevention measures
- Execute other operational tasks as directed.
