Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
relevant retail or customer service experience
open availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays
strong communication skills
ability to perform physical tasks including standing and lifting up to 30 pounds
ability to work in a fast-paced environment
basic math and 10-key skills
ability to handle customer complaints and provide service
leadership skills for mentoring associates
adherence to store policies and procedures

Job Duties

Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures
ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all front end areas
stock check stands with bags and supplies
assign check stands to scheduled associates
ensure breaks and lunches are given and coverage is maintained
follow opening and closing store procedures
perform overrides as needed
assist with checking and bagging
ensure proper promotion of Foodie Club Card
handle refunds and exchanges
audit and verify tills during and after shifts
handle customer complaints
assist customers with questions and locating items
complete go-backs
ensure pricing accuracy on scanned items
handle money and provide accurate change
provide exceptional customer service
apply store policies for checks, gift cards, WIC, etc.
teach, mentor, and educate front end associates
provide feedback on performance
assist with overall store success
