Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in basic technology such as POS systems
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Physical ability to perform store mobility tasks
- Commitment to maintaining exceptional guest service and cash management standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and competency in selling
- Experience addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Demonstrated success in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
- Proficient with basic technology including Point of Sale systems and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ability to react under pressure, use good judgment, and be flexible and adaptable
Job Duties
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store's goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty including credit, and retail shrink
- Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service, and recommending Ulta Beauty products and/or services
- Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
- Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by pairing them with an associate for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
- Book appointments and support execution of services and in-store events
- Take ownership of replenishment, organization, and maintenance of cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance
- Contribute to an inclusive environment supporting teammates, peers, and guests
- Support leadership by completing cashier chat ins/outs and associate exit inspections
- Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services
- Share benefits of guest loyalty program and lead associates to do the same
- Assist in training new cashiers and cross-training associates
- Engage and influence peers to achieve peak productivity and performance
- Drive cashier accountability in delivering exceptional, personalized service
- Participate in ongoing training for professional development and sales performance
- Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
- Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies, procedures, and standards
- Adhere to dress code
- Complete all transactions accurately and control cash and media
- Perform register open and close functions
- Maintain store cleanliness including cashwrap, salesfloor, restrooms, backroom, and break area
- Protect company assets and minimize loss by following safety, inventory control, and loss prevention procedures
- Execute other operational tasks as directed
