Job Requirements
- Vocational or technical training preferred
- Minimum one year of food service experience in quantity food preparation or production preferred
- ServSafe Manager Certification required within six months of employment
- Ability to work full-time on day shifts with schedule flexibility
- Ability to perform moderately active physical work
- Strong mental faculties and decision-making abilities
- Superior customer service skills and professional etiquette
Job Qualifications
- Vocational or technical training preferred
- Minimum one year of food service experience in quantity food preparation or production preferred
- Previous experience in hospital food preparation highly preferred
- ServSafe Manager Certification required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient in computer use including MS Outlook and Word
Job Duties
- Prepare meals for patients, cafeteria, and special functions using proper production systems
- Delegate daily assignments and responsibilities to cafe staff
- Work collaboratively with other employees maintaining a team attitude
- Perform duties in a clean and organized manner according to policies
- Ensure compliance with Singing River Health System procedures and accreditation guidelines
- Maintain superior customer service skills and professional etiquette
- Use computer technology for communication and documentation including MS Outlook and Word
