Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of food service or barista experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions, decimals and percentages
  • Ability to understand, read, write and speak English
  • Ability to analyze and interpret business periodicals, technical procedures and safety data sheets
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and policy
  • High reasoning ability to define problems, collect data and initiate appropriate action
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, holidays and weekends
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods
  • Must be free from illegal drug and alcohol dependency

Job Qualifications

  • Coffee industry experience
  • 2-3 years of food service or barista experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance policies
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule including evenings, holidays, and weekends
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Job Duties

  • Work closely with Executive Chef and Culinary Services Manager and front-of-house and back-of-house staff to exemplify outstanding customer service and provide an exceptional guest experience to align with healing hospitality approach
  • Ensure all guests are treated with high degree of customer service while maintaining efficiency and quick service
  • Prepare and sell coffee and tea drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques such as espresso, latte, cappuccino, matcha
  • Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply, stocking brewing equipment, maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar, maintain loss prevention standards
  • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance
  • Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, implementing changes, maintaining and improving appearance of the store and coffee bar
  • Oversee and assist cafe team with clearing tables, washing dishes, replenishing snacks, and creating beverages to ensure smooth cafe service including auditing opening and closing duties
  • Work with Hospitality, Culinary and Operations teams to manage comfort, cleanliness and atmosphere of the cafe
  • Enforce and monitor health, safety, and sanitation standards in cafe facilities, report accidents and safety hazards, recommend actions
  • Assist with catering management for special events and programming, manage clients' special dietary and medical needs
  • Partner with team members to foster environment based on ANCHOR Values and act as culture keeper
  • Participate in strategic execution of Company vision and plans
  • Provide highest level of customer service and strive to improve customer experience
  • Support accreditation processes such as CARF through training and adherence to policies
  • Maintain confidentiality and understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance policies such as HIPAA
  • Ensure regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
