Job Requirements

  • Coffee industry experience, 2-3 years of food service or barista experience preferred
  • ability to understand, read, write and speak English
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages
  • ability to work a flexible schedule with some evenings, holidays and weekends
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
  • must be free from dependency on illegal drugs or alcohol
  • ability to demonstrate sustained mental and emotional stability
  • ability to comply with health, safety and sanitation standards
  • regular and reliable attendance
  • physical ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, use hands, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl
  • ability to perform in a fast-paced, customer service oriented environment
  • ability to follow instructions and work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Coffee industry experience
  • 2-3 years of food service or barista experience preferred
  • working knowledge and tactical experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications

Job Duties

  • Work closely with Executive Chef and Culinary Services Manager and Front-of-House and Back-of-House staff to exemplify outstanding customer service and provide an exceptional guest experience to align with healing hospitality approach
  • ensure that all guests are treated with high degree of customer service while maintaining efficiency and quick service
  • prepare and sell coffee and tea drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques
  • maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply, stocking coffee brewing equipment, maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies
  • keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance
  • improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes
  • oversight and assist cafe team as needed in clearing tables, washing dishes, replenishing snacks, and creating beverages
  • work with Hospitality, Culinary and Operations teams to maintain comfort, cleanliness, and atmosphere of the cafe
  • enforce and monitor all health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • assist with catering management for special events and programming, managing clients' special dietary needs
  • foster an environment based on company's ANCHOR values and act as culture keeper
  • actively participate in strategic execution of company vision and plans
  • provide highest level of customer service continuously improving service
  • participate in obtaining and maintaining CARF accreditation
  • exhibit understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance policy including HIPAA and maintain confidentiality
  • maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • perform other duties as assigned
