HELLO BETTY Bethesda is a vibrant and dynamic restaurant located at Pike and Rose in North Bethesda. This 3000-square foot establishment is nestled on the third floor of the Canopy by Hilton Hotel at 940 Rose Avenue, Bethesda. Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages
  • Bartending training and certification
  • TIPS certified
  • 3-7 years bartending experience
  • Ability to read, speak, and write English
  • Ability to operate cash register and accurately count cash
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and follow instructions
  • Must be able to stand continuously and maneuver in narrow areas
  • Ability to lift and carry 20-40 lbs
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop signature cocktails and update menus
  • Strong time management skills during peak hours
  • Well-versed in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
  • Keen sense of taste and smell
  • Problem-solving skills to handle customer issues

Job Duties

  • Proficiency in various mixing methods and knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, and mixers
  • Develop, document, and standardize recipes
  • Train applicable team members to ensure product quality and consistency
  • Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers
  • Perform guest interactions in a cordial, efficient, and professional manner
  • Ring guest checks, collect cash and process credits and room charges
  • Complete liquor requisitions and maintain compliance with state liquor laws
  • Maintain established pars and conduct monthly inventory
  • Perform all sidework duties
  • Collaborate with restaurant leadership on drink recipes and product specifications
  • Inventory management to keep the bar well-stocked
  • Develop event-specific specialty cocktails
  • Educate staff on cocktail history, techniques, and service standards
  • Act as closing restaurant supervisor when needed
