Job Requirements

Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and or unusual matters of significance
is polite friendly and helpful to guests management and fellow employees
executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
complies with required safety regulations and procedures
attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
complies with hotel standards policies and rules
remains current with hotel information and changes
must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours
able to work in controlled and extreme temperatures
able to lift up to 30 lbs regularly
able to push and pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs
requires manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive motions bending and stooping
must work effectively in stressful environment and cope with interruptions

Job Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a bartender in an upscale restaurant resort or private club
proven expertise in classic and contemporary cocktail creation with strong understanding of flavor profiles and innovative techniques
extensive knowledge of food spirits wines and craft beers
exceptional leadership and communication skills with ability to motivate and train a team
strong organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail
responsible alcohol vendor certification preferred
food safety certification preferred
must be at least 21 years of age

Job Duties

Lead and mentor a team of bartenders fostering a positive and productive work environment
take responsibility for bar operations including opening and closing procedures cash handling and maintaining cleanliness and organization
develop and innovate craft cocktail menu introducing new drinks reflecting trends and seasonal ingredients
demonstrate complete knowledge of service sequence food and beverage core values and Hotel Bennett service standards
train new bar staff on drink preparation service standards and hotel policies
assist in preparation of ingredients ensuring adherence to recipes and standards
ensure exceptional guest service by crafting high quality beverages efficiently and engaging patrons
maintain in depth knowledge of spirits wines beers and current mixology techniques
oversee inventory and ordering of bar supplies ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste
collaborate with management to create promotions and special events
actively participate in liquor licensing regulations health and safety policies and procedures
attend pre shift weekly and monthly meetings to stay informed about events promotions and hotel news
assist guests with inquiries or requests in a polite and helpful manner
perform supportive functions as determined by Rooftop Supervisor or Manager
