Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
  • high school or equivalent education required
  • three years high volume bar or food service experience required
  • safe server alcohol and food handlers certification required
  • able to speak, read, write, and understand the workplace language
  • able to stand for up to four hours
  • able to lift up to 45 lbs
  • able to push and pull carts up to 250 lbs
  • must maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • reliable attendance and punctuality
  • able to work varying schedules as required
  • able to follow safety and security policies
  • able to perform physical demands including bending, climbing, and repetitive motions

Job Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent education
  • three years high volume bar or food service experience
  • at least one year of supervisory or lead bartender experience preferred
  • safe server alcohol and food handlers certification required
  • good communication skills
  • excellent leadership capability
  • basic computer skills
  • basic computational ability
  • knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
  • knowledge of table and bar service
  • knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality, freshly crafted cocktails at high volume with proper technique
  • take beverage and food orders at the bar
  • describe menu items and suggest products to customers
  • assist in directing the craft spirit, wine, and beer programs
  • create craft cocktail and menu with emphasis on classical mixology
  • work with food and beverage director to lower beverage costs and develop high margin programs
  • ensure proper service standards and guest satisfaction
  • train bartending team on service standards, product knowledge and technique
  • ensure proper materials and supplies are available and used correctly
  • prepare house made spirit infusions
  • build vendor relationships and maintain updated high-quality bar products
  • train beverage staff on alcohol beverage control protocols
  • perform cash, credit card, and room transactions when necessary
  • maintain cleanliness standards of the bar
  • restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • provide opening and closing inventory of spirits
  • ensure all liquor, beer and wine is secured
  • participate in deep cleaning of the outlet
  • assist guests and staff professionally
  • ensure all bar appliances are clean and functional
  • verify customer identification and enforce legal drinking age requirements
  • prevent service to minors and intoxicated persons
  • perform all other duties assigned by manager or supervisor
