Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • three years high-volume bar or food service experience
  • ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • ability to stand and exert mobility for up to four hours
  • must maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • willingness to work varying schedules
  • ability to comply with company safety and security policies
  • effective communication skills
  • knowledge of alcohol beverage control protocols
  • ability to perform cash and credit transactions accurately

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • three years of high-volume bar or food service experience
  • at least one year of supervisory or lead bartender experience preferred
  • micros point of sale (POS) experience preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • leadership capability
  • detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills
  • basic computer and computational skills
  • knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles
  • ability to work independently
  • knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS systems

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality, freshly crafted cocktails at high volume with proper technique
  • take beverage and food orders at the bar
  • describe menu items and suggest products to customers
  • assist in directing the craft spirit, wine, and beer programs
  • create craft cocktail and menu with an emphasis on classical mixology
  • work with food and beverage director to lower beverage costs by keeping accurate par levels, preventing spillage, theft prevention, and developing high margin programs
  • ensure proper service standards are met with a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction
  • train bartending team on service standards, product knowledge and technique
  • ensure proper materials and supplies are available and used correctly
  • prepare house made spirit infusions
  • build vendor relationships and ensure bar carries high-quality products
  • train beverage staff on alcohol beverage control protocols and enforce policies
  • perform cash, credit card, and room transactions when necessary
  • maintain cleanliness standards of the bar
  • restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • provide opening and closing inventory of spirits
  • ensure all liquor, beer and wine products are secured
  • participate in deep cleaning of the outlet and oversee bar staff safety
  • assist all guests and staff professionally with high-quality customer service
  • ensure taps, coolers and appliances are clean and in working order
  • verify customers' legal drinking age
  • ensure minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcohol
  • perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
