Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol
  • high school diploma or equivalent education required
  • three years high volume bar or food service experience required
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
  • ability to stand and move for up to four hours
  • ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • basic computer skills
  • good communication skills
  • must maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per company standards
  • regular attendance and punctuality
  • ability to work in varying schedules
  • ability to comply with safety and security policies and procedures
  • able to handle physically demanding tasks including pushing and pulling carts up to 250 lbs
  • must be able to operate in moderate to extreme temperatures
  • ability to use hands and fingers for repetitive motions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • three years of high volume bar or food service experience
  • at least one year of supervisory or lead bartender experience preferred
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent leadership and customer relations skills
  • detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
  • basic computer skills including knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS systems
  • knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles
  • self-driven and capable of working independently
  • knowledge of table and bar service
  • basic computational ability

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality, freshly crafted cocktails at high volume with proper technique
  • take beverage and food orders at the bar
  • describe menu items and suggest products to customers
  • assist in directing the craft spirit, wine, and beer programs
  • create craft cocktail and menu, with emphasis on classical mixology methods
  • work with food and beverage director to lower beverage costs and develop high margin programs
  • ensure proper service standards and guest satisfaction
  • train bartending team on service standards, product knowledge, and technique
  • ensure proper materials and supplies are available and used correctly
  • prepare house made spirit infusions
  • build vendor relationships and ensure bar stock quality
  • train beverage staff on alcohol control protocols and enforce policies
  • perform cash, credit card, and room transactions accurately
  • maintain and enforce cleanliness standards at the bar
  • restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • provide opening and closing inventory of spirits
  • ensure all liquor, beer, and wine products are secured
  • participate in deep cleaning of the outlet and oversee bar staff safety
  • assist guests and staff professionally with high customer service standards
  • ensure taps, coolers, and appliances are clean and functional
  • verify customer identification and enforce legal drinking age
  • prevent serving minors and intoxicated persons
  • perform all other duties assigned by management or supervisor
