Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- three years experience in high-volume bar or food service
- minimum age of 21 years to serve alcohol
- valid Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification
- ability to stand and exert mobility for up to four hours
- ability to lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull equipment up to 250 lbs
- proficiency in basic computer use including POS systems
- excellent communication and leadership abilities
- ability to work in temperature extremes
- must maintain neat appearance per company grooming standards
- reliable attendance and ability to work varying schedules
- compliance with company safety and alcohol service policies
Job Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education
- three years high volume bar or food service experience
- at least one year of supervisory or lead bartender experience preferred
- Micros experience preferred
- must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol
- Safe server alcohol and food handlers certification
- excellent leadership and customer relations skills
- good verbal and written communication skills
- detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
- basic computer skills including Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
- knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles
- ability to work independently
- knowledge of table and bar service
Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality, freshly crafted cocktails at high volume with proper technique
- take beverage and food orders at the bar
- describe menu items and suggest products to customers
- assist in directing the craft spirit, wine, and beer programs
- create craft cocktail and menu, emphasizing classical mixology
- work with food and beverage director to lower beverage costs and prevent spillage and theft
- ensure service standards are met with a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction
- train bartending team on service standards, product knowledge, and technique
- ensure proper materials and supplies are available and used correctly
- prepare house made spirit infusions
- build vendor relationships to ensure high-quality products
- train staff on alcohol beverage control protocols and enforce policies
- perform cash, credit card, and room transactions accurately
- maintain cleanliness standards of the bar
- restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- provide opening and closing inventory of spirits
- ensure all liquor, beer, and wine products are safely secured
- participate in deep cleaning of the outlet
- professionally assist all guests and staff
- ensure taps, coolers, and appliances are clean and working
- verify customers' identification to confirm legal drinking age
- ensure minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcohol
- perform other duties assigned by manager or supervisor
