  • Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
  • Computer literacy
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
  • Relevant training certificates

Job Duties

  • Prepare both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
  • Maintain relationships with members of the craft beverage community such as distributors and brewers
  • Negotiate prices with distributors
  • Train bartenders
  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve beverages
  • Assess customers' needs and preferences and make beverage recommendations
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • Plan, price and present bar menu
  • Check customers' identification and confirm legal drinking age
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Stay guest focused and provide excellent experience
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations
  • Demonstrate superior knowledge of classic cocktails
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area and guest areas
  • Complete opening and closing duties including prep and checklist tasks
  • Adhere to cash handling policies and perform accurate credit card charges and billing
  • Manage pour-cost control, participate in inventory, and determine par levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
