Job Qualifications
- 5-7 years of bartending or bar-leadership experience in a high-end restaurant, hotel, cocktail bar, or private-club environment
- strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, proper technique, and modern mixology foundations
- ability to lead by example with professionalism, efficiency, and a member-first mindset
- experience with cost controls, inventory management, and maintaining beverage variance targets
- strong communication skills and the ability to train and mentor junior bartenders
- a hospitality-driven demeanor and a passion for building an elevated bar experience
- ability to collaborate closely with sommelier, culinary, and F&B leadership as part of a unified beverage program
Job Duties
- Lead daily bar operations with precision, professionalism, and a strong floor presence during service
- craft elevated cocktails with consistency, proper technique, and adherence to MAC Clayton recipes and portion controls
- collaborate with the sommelier and F&B leadership team on seasonal cocktail menus, BTG strategy, and beverage alignment across outlets
- train, mentor, and support the bar team on mixology techniques, service standards, product knowledge, and member interaction
- uphold beverage cost targets and maintain tight variance control through accurate pours, recipe adherence, and strong operational discipline
- oversee bar prep, product rotation, and readiness for each shift ensuring mise en place, glassware, garnishes, and batches meet club standards
- maintain a pristine bar environment, ensuring compliance with all MAC cleanliness, organization, and safety expectations
- engage members with warm, polished hospitality providing recommendations, telling product stories, and fostering a welcoming, elevated bar culture
- support large events, specialty tastings, and bar-driven activations in partnership with the catering, sommelier, and culinary teams
