Job Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of bartending or bar-leadership experience in a high-end restaurant, hotel, cocktail bar, or private-club environment
  • strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, proper technique, and modern mixology foundations
  • ability to lead by example with professionalism, efficiency, and a member-first mindset
  • experience with cost controls, inventory management, and maintaining beverage variance targets
  • strong communication skills and the ability to train and mentor junior bartenders
  • a hospitality-driven demeanor and a passion for building an elevated bar experience
  • ability to collaborate closely with sommelier, culinary, and F&B leadership as part of a unified beverage program

Job Duties

  • Lead daily bar operations with precision, professionalism, and a strong floor presence during service
  • craft elevated cocktails with consistency, proper technique, and adherence to MAC Clayton recipes and portion controls
  • collaborate with the sommelier and F&B leadership team on seasonal cocktail menus, BTG strategy, and beverage alignment across outlets
  • train, mentor, and support the bar team on mixology techniques, service standards, product knowledge, and member interaction
  • uphold beverage cost targets and maintain tight variance control through accurate pours, recipe adherence, and strong operational discipline
  • oversee bar prep, product rotation, and readiness for each shift ensuring mise en place, glassware, garnishes, and batches meet club standards
  • maintain a pristine bar environment, ensuring compliance with all MAC cleanliness, organization, and safety expectations
  • engage members with warm, polished hospitality providing recommendations, telling product stories, and fostering a welcoming, elevated bar culture
  • support large events, specialty tastings, and bar-driven activations in partnership with the catering, sommelier, and culinary teams
