Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of bartending experience in a high-volume environment
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the bar
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and liquor laws
  • Oversee bar opening and closing procedures, including conducting end-of-day reports and cash management
  • Manage the bar POS system, including troubleshooting issues and implementing updates
  • Train, mentor, and supervise bar staff to ensure service excellence
  • Create and maintain a positive and collaborative team environment
  • Schedule bar staff, ensuring proper coverage during busy periods
  • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations in coordination with management
  • Organize and manage bar inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking supplies
  • Track and maintain proper inventory levels through regular counts and ordering adjustments
  • Work with vendors to negotiate pricing and ensure product availability
  • Develop and recommend seasonal or specialty drink menus in collaboration with the Food and Beverage Manager
  • Ensure guests receive prompt, friendly, and professional service
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues efficiently and professionally
  • Maintain product knowledge and suggest beverage pairings or recommendations
