Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in food and beverage operations
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Experience with ordering and inventory management
- Proficient in POS systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and solve operational issues
- TIPS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Capacity to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of related food and beverage experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in ordering, inventory management, and vendor relations
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and resolve operational issues efficiently
- TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification required within 30 days of hire
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in hotels
Job Duties
- Interact with guests, solicit feedback, and implement service recovery when necessary
- Execute revenue and check control procedures during shifts
- Assist in selecting, training, and providing ongoing performance feedback to staff, ensuring brand standards and guest satisfaction goals are met
- Utilize tools such as schedules, floor plans, and checklists to manage shift operations efficiently
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to communicate specials, hotel occupancy, guest satisfaction scores, and staff concerns
- Resolve daily operational issues such as call-outs, last-minute bookings, and delayed ticket times
- Monitor floor volume and assist with seating, serving, and kitchen communication as needed to ensure guest satisfaction
- Order and manage inventory of beer, wine, liquor, and bar supplies, and manage vendor accounts
- Execute activations and partnership events, ensuring proper scheduling, planning, and preparation based on Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
- Ensure proper stocking, accurate order delivery, and correct invoicing for all bar orders
- Implement marketing and upselling techniques to promote bar services and maximize revenue
- Train staff on beverage offerings, events, and pricing to control costs and maintain budgeted spending
