Job Requirements
- Must obtain TABC certification prior to beginning work
- Must obtain Texas food handler certification prior to beginning work
- Availability to work full-time, including major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day Weekend, Fourth of July Weekend, and Labor Day Weekend
- Ability to exercise sound, reasonable judgment and initiative
- High attention to accuracy and detail in performing job responsibilities
- Ability to work any job shift
- Willingness to adhere to company and department policies and procedures
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment consistently
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Prior hospitality or server experience preferred but not required
- Ability to engage professionally and warmly with guests
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Basic proficiency with POS systems
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
Job Duties
- Welcoming and interacting with all guests
- Greeting guests, taking their order, entering order into POS system and verifying order by repeating back to guest
- Suggesting additional items as appropriate
- Receiving and processing payments correctly via room charge or credit/debit
- Maintaining knowledge of all current drink recipes and specials
- Maintaining work area by restocking and cleaning
- Replenishing food and other serving items as necessary
- Meeting service speed requirements without compromising beverage quality or customer service, including third-party orders
- Preparing and serving coffee and coffee-less beverages and food items using retail equipment, such as espresso machines and microwaves
- Keeping clean and organized work and customer areas, following health and safety guidelines
- Promoting new coffee offerings and seasonal specials to enhance brand awareness and sales
- Managing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks assigned by leadership team
- Assisting in inventory management and restocking supplies, including product displays
- Following Hotel food and beverage policies and procedures diligently
