Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or retail
- ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- physical stamina for prolonged standing and lifting
- willingness to learn and develop barista skills
- dependable and punctual
- ability to work collaboratively within a team

- prior experience in a barista or cafe role preferred
- leadership or supervisory experience a plus

Job Duties
- Maintain reliable and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts
- fill scheduling gaps when able
- lead by example with a positive and proactive approach
- support and assist colleagues consistently
- provide cheerful and helpful customer service
- demonstrate and coach mastered drink making and food preparation skills
- maintain compelling product and merchandising presentations
- ensure speed and accuracy at registers
- manage receiving, unpacking, and stocking of deliveries
- keep the cafe clean through daily and weekly cleaning tasks
- assist with bookfloor presentation standards
- enforce loss prevention and safety protocols
- address and resolve team concerns
- prioritize resources and support to keep shifts on track
- place food and beverage orders
- complete and submit inventory and waste logs
- coach team on food and beverage recommendations
- promote cafe sales objectives
- use cafe training resources to broaden team skills
- maintain safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
