Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role preferred
- Ability to operate cash registers and process payments
- Knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness and ability to complete required training and certification
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Experience in customer service or food service preferred
- Ability to operate cash registers and electronic payment systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow food safety and hygiene protocols
- Ability to manage opening and closing procedures
- Willingness to obtain Starbucks Lead Barista Certification within 90 days of employment
Job Duties
- Greet customers and take orders
- Mix and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks according to customer specifications
- Sell food items and maintain good customer relations
- Perform opening and closing procedures for the retail food service area
- Arrange coffee bar/cart supplies and cups/mugs to create attractive displays and maintain cleanliness
- Clean coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation areas
- Record sales, collect money, operate cash registers and credit card machines following cash handling procedures
- Attend allergy and foodborne illness in-service trainings and participate in safety meetings and training sessions
- Receive inventory and move/lift foodstuffs and supplies
