Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of fine dining or banquet service experience with at least 1 year in a leadership or lead server capacity
  • Bartending experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of elevated table service, wine and cocktail presentation, and event pacing
  • Professional demeanor, communication skills, and a passion for hospitality
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid Food Handler's and Alcohol Service Permits in Washington State

Job Duties

  • Lead and support banquet servers/team to ensure all service standards are met with consistency, attentiveness, and professionalism
  • Oversee all aspects of event setup, service, and breakdown in alignment with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event timelines
  • Coordinate timing with the kitchen and bar to ensure courses and beverages are served efficiently and in sequence
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of menu offerings, featured wines, and specialty cocktails to provide informed and confident service
  • Anticipate guest needs and communicate adjustments or special requests promptly to the Manager on Duty
  • Ensure table settings, glassware, and service equipment meet The Butcher's Table's standards for quality and presentation
  • Monitor pacing and guest satisfaction throughout the event, providing discreet and attentive service at all times
  • Support post-event closing duties, including financial reconciliation, resetting of spaces, and completion of event reports as needed
  • Foster a positive and collaborative service culture by leading with professionalism, clear communication, and genuine hospitality
