Job Requirements
- 14 months or more retail experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk for 6 to 8 hours during an 8-hour shift
- Manual dexterity including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
- Capability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work in temperature environments ranging from below freezing to above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Capability to work in wet and dry conditions
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Ability to operate tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and heavy machinery
- Ability to safely use ladders
- On-time arrival, proper grooming, and readiness for all scheduled shifts
- Willingness to attend required trainings and meetings

Job Duties
- Mixes, divides, shapes, proofs, and bakes bread and bakery products to approved Whole Foods Market specifications
- Maintains accurate mix times, temp logs, and production records
- Develops, adjusts, and communicates daily production schedules with other bakers and the team
- Ensures consistency of daily production quantity and quality
- Assesses production outcomes to maintain scratch bread program quality
- Prepares, packages, weighs, and prices bakery products for sale
- Monitors product quality and freshness, ensuring proper rotation
- Delivers outstanding customer service and models suggestive selling
- Mentors, coaches, and trains other bakers on execution of bakery programs
- Performs opening, mid, and closing duties including sign and pricing accuracy
- Reports safety hazards and violations immediately
- Utilizes production tools to maximize sales and reduce shrink
- Supports training and onboarding of bakers within the store and other locations
