Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Must be 21 or older for Beverage Server, Barback, Bartender positions
  • Ability to report to work scheduled shifts on time and appropriately uniformed
  • Compliance with health department and company sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow delegated tasks and adapt to new situations quickly
  • Willingness to assist other team members proactively
  • Ability to handle inventory processes including taking inventories, placing orders, and receiving orders
  • Physical ability to perform baking duties including opening and closing bakery
  • Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent guest service
  • Degree or certificate from a culinary institute preferred
  • Minimum 2 years baking experience in hotel or food chain environment
  • Knowledge of bakery operations and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Working knowledge of food storage, knife handling and sharpening, weights and measures, stocks, soups and sauces, plate presentations, recipes and yields, health department regulations, sanitation, and safety regulations
  • Organizes tasks efficiently, maintains focus and stays productive
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Understand technical requirements of the job, apply technical knowledge consistently
  • Uses appropriate language when engaging guests and co-workers in conversation, communicating clearly and courteously, provides continued service to all guests
  • Determines the nature of guest concerns and takes appropriate action to resolve general concerns, obtaining assistance from the proper personnel, as necessary
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
  • Provides a positive model for co-workers
  • A degree or certificate from a major culinary institute
  • 2 years in experience as a baker in a major hotel or food chain
  • Working knowledge of American and European pastries and bread programs

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates ability to produce all recipes on restaurant menus in a consistent manner in accordance with menu standards
  • Report to work for scheduled shifts, on time and appropriately uniformed
  • Demonstrates ability to perform advanced production and service skills to include opening/closing bakery duties, following daily baking schedule, assisting and supporting other bakers to accomplish daily given assignment
  • Accepts direction willingly and follows through with delegated tasks, learns and adapts to new tasks or situations quickly and cooperatively
  • Demonstrates complete knowledge of control in kitchen operation including portions, wastage, production, plate presentation and possesses ability to create and execute recipe development and menu specials
  • Possesses ability to take inventories, place orders, receive orders and will be required to carry out all
  • Practice safe food handling and sanitation duties as given to by management
  • ensure personal hygiene is compliant with health department standards and company policy
  • Demonstrates willingness to assist other team members as needed without being asked
  • Receive purchased ingredients, check, and sign all items then properly store as guided
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs
  • Wash and clean bakery small equipment and tools, store them properly for next use, keep oven and proofer clean at the end of shift
  • Complies with departmental policies as well as with company rules, regulations, and policies set forth in the employee handbook
  • Reports on any equipment malfunctions
  • Maintains station in a neat and orderly manner
  • Reports with proper tools clean uniform and recommended footwear at the stated time
