Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months of experience in food or customer service with cash handling preferred
  • ability to stand for entire shift
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to tolerate high temperature environments
  • ability to listen and respond to visual and aural cues
  • tolerance for second-hand smoke, loud noises, and bright lighting conditions
  • ability to perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and balancing
  • compliance with background check and drug testing as required

Job Qualifications

  • 6 months experience in food or customer service field with cash handling preferred
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • good oral and written communication skills
  • fluent and literate in English
  • able to be on feet for entire shift
  • physically mobile with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and tolerate high temperature areas
  • able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues
  • able to tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke, high noise levels, and bright lights

Job Duties

  • Interact with guests and co-workers in a helpful, positive, upbeat, and professional manner while taking food and beverage orders
  • accept payment through cash, credit, check, and comps
  • deliver orders to guests
  • bus and clean dining area
  • monitor and replenish all food products in work area by stocking counters and displays neatly, accurately, and timely
  • ensure work area is neat, clean, and sanitized throughout shift by wiping counters, beverage stations, sinks, and floors
  • monitor rotation and quality of product for appearance and safe holding temperature and proper storage of prepared foods using proper product, date, and storage containers
  • partner with culinary team to ensure coordinated workflow during shift to meet business demands and customer satisfaction
  • maintain all equipment including cappuccino machine and micros station
  • comply with State of Iowa and Harrah's sanitation requirements (ServSafe)
  • adhere to regulatory, safety, departmental, and company policies
  • support safety and accident prevention programs including use of non-slip footwear and proper lifting
  • present oneself as a credit to the company and encourage others to do the same
  • perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned
