Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years' experience in a from scratch production bakery
  • At least 2 years' experience in banquet style dessert production and execution
  • At least 1 year experience managing a shift or supervising a small team
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Texas Food Handler Certification
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work early morning shifts
  • Ability to maintain sanitary and food safety standards
  • Effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year experience managing a shift supervising small team

Job Duties

  • Execute breakfast parties and banquet events for up to five hundred people
  • Prepare breakfast pastries, breads, baked goods, pastries, and other bakery items per production
  • Oversee a la carte desserts, pastry set-ups and buffet dessert table presentations
  • Manage the shift small team as required
  • Schedule production of baked goods to always maintain an inventory and par of freshly baked goods
  • Prepare and serve items in accordance with established recipe and presentation standards
  • Set up, maintain and break down workstation
  • Notify Executive Pastry Chef in advance of expected product shortages and any issues
  • Requisition supplies as needed to prepare menu items
  • Ensure that work area is safe and secure
  • Maintain neat professional appearance and always observe personal cleanliness rules
  • Adhere to state and local health and safety regulations
  • Maintain the highest sanitary conditions
