Job Requirements

  • Minimum age 18
  • high school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
  • must possess at least one form of TSA-acceptable identification for business travel
  • willing and able to work rotating shifts including days, nights, overnights, holidays, weekends, and rotating days off
  • flexible to work additional hours on short notice
  • able to carry, bend, lift, and turn with bags and items up to 75 lbs
  • customer focused and detail oriented
  • comfortable working with computers
  • able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English
  • possess legal right to work in the United States
  • demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • above average attendance preferred
  • ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand Spanish in some locations preferred
  • one year of customer service experience preferred
  • prior training and/or curriculum development experience preferred
  • experience using Word and Excel preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide efficient, friendly service to all customers
  • promote and sell air travel with American Eagle and American Airlines or contracted carriers
  • complete arrangements for accommodating passengers including itinerary preparation, fare computation, ticket issuance, refund processing, baggage checking, and excess charge collection
  • escort passengers between terminal and aircraft ensuring safety
  • manage reservations, stand-bys, luggage, cabin availability, and in-flight supplies
  • determine flight close-out time and complete flight forms accurately
  • conduct agent observations and associate activities
  • administer local training programs and manage scheduling and manpower utilization
  • maintain supplies and inventory control logs
  • prepare correspondence, investigate discrepancies, and compile statistical reports
  • assist management with administrative duties and represent company when assigned
  • stand for prolonged periods and perform physical tasks including lifting and maneuvering baggage up to 75 lbs
  • operate mobile jet bridges safely
  • perform tasks requiring depth perception and peripheral vision to maneuver equipment
  • open and close aircraft cabin doors without assistance
  • communicate effectively with operations lead and management for passenger and baggage coordination
  • inform gate agents about connecting passenger status
  • provide exceptional customer service and promptly address passenger needs
  • collaborate with departments to ensure timely information
  • monitor and manage passenger flow to optimize efficiency
  • maintain accurate records of passenger interactions and operations
