Job Requirements
- One-year certificate from college or technical school
- three to six months related experience and/or training
- or equivalent combination of education and experience
- valid driver’s license
- ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms
- ability to climb or balance
- ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- ability to talk or hear
- ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- ability to work split shifts including early morning and afternoon hours
- ability to work in highly noisy environments
- ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- ability to safely handle toxic or caustic chemicals
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of fueling and defueling procedures
- knowledge of deicing procedures
- work flex schedules
- must successfully complete company’s PST program
- ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- ability to speak effectively before groups
- ability to calculate volume, weight, and gallons
- ability to apply basic math concepts
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations
- valid driver’s license
- possess and maintain required FAA airport identification and authorizations
Job Duties
- Comply with the location’s attendance/tardiness standards
- responsible for timely and efficient delivery of fueling and deicing services
- report daily to supervisor or manager detailing status of daily operations
- check equipment for unsafe conditions and take appropriate action
- fuel aircraft using hydrant carts, stationary carts, trucks or other fueling equipment
- responsible for defueling as required
- deice aircraft using appropriate equipment and procedures
- conduct weekly safety briefings as necessary
