Job Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must pass a 10 year background check and pre-employment drug test
- Must be available to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 75 pounds
- Ability to ascend to heights of 40 feet for deicing aircraft
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Must be physically able to perform bending, squatting, kneeling, walking, climbing, and reaching
- Must possess ability to distinguish colors for safety purposes
- Must be able to respond to audio information or alarms
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Proven experience in ramp services or ground handling operations
- Ability to train and lead a team effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of FAA and TSA regulations
- Proficient in operating various types of ground equipment
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Ability to write detailed reports and maintain training records
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Job Duties
- Plan, organize, direct, and participate in ramp services operations for commercial and charter flights
- Direct and train assigned ramp services agents including new employee and ongoing training
- Implement departmental policies and advise on operational improvements
- Coordinate ramp activities with airline personnel, TSA, and station managers
- Operate and ensure maintenance of ground equipment including loading bridges, baggage tugs, belt loaders, and lavatory carts
- Ensure compliance with FAA and TSA regulations and airline policies
- Prepare and submit verbal and written reports
- Update multi-user flight information display system (MUFIDS)
- Coordinate communications between airport, airline dispatch, and flight crew
- Handle business responsibilities including billing, cash handling, and ordering supplies
