Job Description

The Lead 2nd Shift Flight Follower/Dispatcher role at Mountain Air Cargo is a critical position within the company's Operations Control Center (OCC). Job Requirements

  • High-school diploma or GED
  • Valid FAA Part 121 Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate
  • Ability to pass a 10-year criminal history and background check
  • Able to pass a DOT drug screen and be enrolled in the company Drug and Alcohol Testing Program
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong command of English language
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • High-school diploma or GED

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks

Job Duties

  • Plan release and monitor flights in accordance with Federal Regulations and company policies
  • Monitor the status of all company flights from pre-flight planning to completion
  • Work in a team environment with a positive attitude
  • Collect and disseminate weather and aeronautical information to flight crews
  • Ensure all ground handling, deicing, fuel, landing/departure slots, and permits are in order prior to flight release
  • Identify, anticipate, and take corrective action to minimize delays due to weather, scheduling, operations, crew legality, or maintenance issues
  • Advise personnel of potential or actual delays and conditions affecting flight safety
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Control to ensure aircraft status permits safe operation
  • Evaluate and comply with MEL/CDL limitations or restrictions
  • Determine airport suitability and perform risk assessments
  • Maintain shift logs recording key data for all flights and missions
  • Comply with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
