Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- physical ability to lift/move items over 30 pounds
- knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting procedures
- adherence to safety protocols including use of personal protective equipment
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- basic reading and comprehension skills
- willingness to work evening shifts including weekends
- commitment to upholding resident rights and facility policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred
- ability to follow safety and infection control guidelines
- ability to stand for extended periods
- physical ability to lift and move items weighing over 30 pounds
- strong attention to detail

- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned
- perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments
- empty and sanitize ash trays daily
- clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, heating/cooling units in resident rooms and recreational areas
- clean/wash/sanitize bathroom fixtures removing water marks
- clean windows and mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrances
- clean floors including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and disinfecting
- clean carpets including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting
- clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing
- remove dirt, dust, grease, and film from surfaces using cleaning/disinfecting solutions
- discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles
- collect, sort, weigh, and process soiled laundry
- sort laundry for special stain treatment
- press and iron garments
- fold and distribute clean laundry
- transport laundry using carts
- follow fire safety and chemical handling protocols
- uphold residents' rights and privacy
- perform isolation cleaning procedures and discard infectious waste
- assure equipment storage and workplace safety
- perform other duties as assigned
