Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to lift heavy items regularly
- basic reading and writing skills

- ability to follow safety and operational procedures

- laundry worker experience in a hotel or other high-volume location preferred

Job Duties
- ensure the proper volume of detergent, water, bleach, starch, and other washing products are used
- sort and count articles removed from dryers, then fold, wrap, or hang them
- maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry closet
- wash, dry, sort, and count the linens
- fold and restock the linens in an efficient manner
- operate extractors, dryers, and blower fans as needed
- inspect soiled articles to determine sources of stains, color imperfections, and items requiring special treatment
- determine spotting procedures and proper solvents based on fabric and stain types
- iron or press articles, fabrics, banquet linens, napkins, spa linen using hand irons or pressing machines
- communicate with appropriate staff to identify needs for guest linens
- track and record all loads washed and dried using a provided spreadsheet to calculate productivity
- record loss of linens due to stains, tears, and wear
