The Laundry Worker position at Kaweah Health plays a vital role in supporting this mission by ensuring that all healthcare facilities within the Kaweah Health system are stocked with clean, sanitary linen. This full-time, benefits-eligible role operates during the evening shift with 10-hour hours and offers a competitive pay range of $20.00 to $30.00 per hour. The Laundry Worker is responsible for the collection, sorting, washing, drying, and manual folding of linens to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and efficiency. This role requires physical stamina and strength to handle heavy loads and perform continuous physical activities throughout the shift. The worker must also adhere to safety protocols and operational guidelines while using equipment such as washers, dryers, and mangles.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- must pass the Physical Capacity Exam (PCE) including a 50-pound lifting requirement
- ability to perform continuous physical activities throughout the shift
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- previous experience in laundry services preferred but not required
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to adequately follow written instructions and communicate with others
- must possess needed stamina to maintain continuous physical movement throughout the shift
- must have strength to push and pull heavy loads
- ability to follow safety and operational protocols
- strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Collects soiled linen and sorts according to procedure
- loads and unloads washers and dryers
- cleans laundry areas and empties trash as needed
- keeps laundry carts clean
- runs linens through the mangle following safe operational instructions
- folds dry linen manually
- stocks clean linen carts following established guidelines
- assists in assembling designated linen order for offsite facilities
- demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the assigned unit or work area
- performs other duties as assigned
