Job Requirements
- Prior laundry or housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to operate washing and drying machinery
- Ability to inspect and assess linens for cleanliness and damage
- Capability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods and moving items
- Willingness to follow safety procedures strictly
- Availability to work full-time
- Reliable and professional personal appearance
Job Qualifications
- No high school diploma or GED equivalent required
- No related work experience required
- No supervisory experience required
- Ability to follow company safety and security policies
- Strong attention to detail
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25 pounds
- Positive teamwork and communication skills
Job Duties
- Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps
- Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard
- Inspect cleanliness of articles removed from machines and place in clean linen carts
- Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabric types
- Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, filters, and drain traps after each load
- Fold cleaned articles into designated sizes by hand or using folding machines
- Maintain accurate records of laundered items
