Job Requirements

- Experience operating industrial laundry equipment preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and hospital protocols
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards in work area

Job Duties
- Meets the expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: leader of self, leader of others, or leader of leaders
- Sorts and processes hospital soiled/clean linen in accordance with pre-established washing formulas and hospital operating procedures
- Operates industrial laundry machinery such as Continuous Batch Washer (CBW), 750 lbs
- Operates Washer Extractor, 450 lbs
- Operates Washer 125 lbs
- Operates Washer Extractor, 85 lbs
- Hand folds and operates industrial laundry linen finishing equipment such as folders, feeders, ironers and steam pressing machines
- Constructs surgical linen packs utilized by the Central Sterilization Reprocessing Departments
- Constructs linen par/bulk carts for shipment throughout the organization
