Job Requirements
- must be at least 18 years old
- must produce a negative drug screen for all illegal substances prior to employment
- experience with institutional laundry or housekeeping preferred
- no certifications or licenses required
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience in institutional housekeeping or laundry services preferred
- ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols
- strong attention to detail
- ability to work under general supervision
- good communication skills
Job Duties
- perform daily linen duties consistent with established hospital standards
- comply with policies set by The Joint Commission and state regulatory agencies
- operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
- ensure proper handling and processing of hospital linens
- support infection control measures through effective linen management
- report any equipment malfunctions or supply needs to the Environmental Services Lead
