Job Requirements

- Recent, successful, structured work experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred
- Ability to move bulky loads weighting over 100 pounds
- Ability to read, write and follow simple oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with other staff
- Ability to work under supervision
- Ability to work well as a team
- Ability to have positive personal interactions with staff, residents and visitors
Job Qualifications
- Recent, successful, structured work experience in laundry or housekeeping
- Previous healthcare facility or motel experience preferred
- Ability to move bulky loads weighting over 100 pounds
- Ability to read, write and follow simple oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with other staff
- Ability to maintain productive relationships
Job Duties
- Collects linen from the Champion Center interior
- Sorts soiled linen from Champion Center, Acute Hospital, and Champion Center
- Processes soiled linen through the washing machines and dryers
- Performs minor sewing repairs on linen
- Folds and ties clean dry linen
- Distributes linen as scheduled or as needed
- Distributes incontinence products to resident's rooms
- Prepares the linen orders for the Acute Hospital
- Cleans and sanitizes the machines and laundry area
- Sweeps and mops laundry area daily
