Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy loads repeatedly
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and perform manual tasks for extended periods
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols
- Flexibility to work full-time hours
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Six months previous cleaning experience preferred but not required
- Ability to effectively and efficiently move around laundry area
- Requires the ability to twist and lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull loads of up to 100 pounds, to be able to load, wash and store laundry items
- Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
Job Duties
- Sorts, washes, dries, folds, and stores linens according to established procedures
- Sweeps, cleans, and mops work area and restrooms
- Performs routine maintenance on the laundry equipment, such as cleaning dryer traps and greasing flat ironer
- Maintains production output according to level of room occupancy
- Assists vendors who perform inspections and tests of cleaning agents and operations
- Counts and processes reclaimed items
- Weighs and counts all received linen
- Keeps accurate records of linen delivered and received from all receiving departments, maintains daily worksheets
- Anticipates and responds to customers' queries, concerns, and complaints
