Job Requirements
- No formal education needed
- Prior laundry experience desirable
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., push up to 75 lbs., pull up to 75 lbs., and carry up to 50 lbs. of linen
- Frequent bending while loading/unloading washers and dryers, sorting linen, and folding
- Standing continuously during 100% of the shift
- Ability to work in excessive heat and humidity conditions
- Ability to follow hazardous chemical safety procedures
Job Qualifications

- Prior laundry experience desirable
- Minimal hearing necessary for one-on-one communication, accommodations may be provided
- Excellent vision necessary with emphasis on cleanliness and quality control
- Minimal speech communication skills required for one-on-one communication, accommodations may be provided
- Minimal literacy is required
Job Duties
- Receive and sort soiled linen into appropriate containers following all safety practices
- Process sorted linen utilizing washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeders/folders ensuring finished product meets quality standards
- Follow all hazardous chemical procedures and ensure bloodied linen does not return to supplies
- Inspect linen regularly for tears, holes, or sub-standard conditions and remove from guest inventory
- Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition
- Empty lint traps after each load to ensure safety of equipment and building
- Notify supervisor of malfunctioning equipment, supplies needed, and damaged linens to ensure laundry operation efficiency
- Ensure linen carts are stocked and ready for delivery to guest room floors
