Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma preferred but not required
- Ability to operate commercial laundry machinery and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to effectively multi-task, organize, plan, and prioritize
- Ability to exercise good judgment and take initiative
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must have basic English language comprehension, writing, and speaking skills
- Ability to follow directions and instructions
- Must have a valid NC Driver's License with clean driving record and be at least 18 years old to drive box truck
- Able to lift, carry and push/pull up to 50-75 lbs regularly
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping throughout an 8-hour shift
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items
- Must be able to respond to visual and audible cues
- Must be able to work with varying noise levels and in warm/hot temperatures
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a commercial/industrial laundry and/or housekeeping environment preferred
- Ability to operate commercial laundry machinery and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions and instructions
- Proven commitment to delivering world class customer service
- Must have basic English language comprehension, writing, and speaking skills
Job Duties
- Count items for the day and inventory outgoing items
- Maintain inventories for damage/loss
- Inspect for quality control according to established standards
- Sort and properly store all soiled linen
- Weigh linen and place into appropriate carts
- Manage flow and processing of linens efficiently and effectively
- Sort and separate damaged or stained linen for repair or conversion to rags
- Operate ironing and folding machinery
- Observe safety rules and maintain a safe environment
- Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor
- Maintain facility, linen carts and supplies in a neat and organized manner
- Complete necessary administrative work related to receipt, processing, delivery, inspections
- Drive box truck across estate locations to deliver laundry as needed
