Job Requirements
- Understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel
- Prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision
- Be detail-oriented and able to multitask efficiently
- Speak, understand, and communicate in the primary workplace language
- Possess effective communication skills
- Ability to bend, squat, and lift up to 100 pounds regularly
- Ability to bend, stoop, and stretch to perform painting and engineering tasks
- Follow safety requirements including use of personal protective equipment
- Flexible and able to work long hours
- Able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and stand for the entire shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous hospitality or housekeeping experience preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Initiative and self-motivation
- Flexibility to cross-train in various hotel departments
- Basic knowledge of guestroom cleaning procedures
- Familiarity with safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment
- Physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 100 pounds
- Commitment to maintaining professional appearance and demeanor
- Willingness to work flexible and long hours when required
Job Duties
- Effectively communicate with employees and guests in a friendly and service-oriented manner
- Listen to and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests
- Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Maximize productivity and assist in implementing solutions
- Handle problems by anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving them
- Cross-train in other hotel related areas
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Show initiative by anticipating guest and operational needs
- Perform duties as requested by management
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
- Practice safe work habits for safety of guests and employees
- Handle lost and found items according to hotel standards
- Turn in keys and assignment sheets at end of shift
- Report maintenance issues to supervisors
- Assist with correct guestroom cleaning procedures
- Collect dirty linen or trash as needed
- Dispose of trash from service landings per procedures
- Vacuum guest corridors
- Assist housekeeping with various tasks
- Deliver clean linen to assigned sections
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping areas
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
