Job Requirements
- Minimum lifting of 20 pounds
- Ability to push, bend, stoop, and reach upward
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to hear, write, and type
- Minimum pulling of 20 pounds
- Relevant experience in laundry or hospitality preferred
- Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals
- Must follow safety protocols
- Other duties may be assigned
Job Qualifications
- High school education preferred
- Relevant training and experience required
- Good mathematical skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of hotel departments and functions
- Ability to accurately report information
- Ability to follow policies and procedures scrupulously
- Additional language ability preferred
Job Duties
- Load articles into washer and ensure correct machine codes are entered
- Wash clothes according to StepStone and hotel standards
- Sort dried articles based on item type and inspect for stains and damage
- Fold and place items in storage racks
- Soak contaminated articles in neutralizer solution and bleach following procedures
- Pretreat stains using special solutions with safety precautions
- Check and clean filters on washers and dryers every two hours
- Deliver linen to closets as needed
- Pull dirty linen from housekeeping carts
- Assist with monthly linen inventory
- Accurately report information
- Follow all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures
- Attend required meetings
