Job Requirements
- Must be able to perform major life activities including standing lifting bending learning reading concentrating thinking and communicating
- Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift or carry 30 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to stand for eight hours bend stretch reach crawl and kneel
- Must be able to see and hear
- Must be able to communicate with other associates and guests
- Must pass appropriate security clearances as required by company
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior housekeeping experience in lodging housing hotels hospitals or care facilities preferred
- Knowledge of laundry procedures and proper handling of linens and supplies
- Ability to operate laundry machinery and maintain related equipment
- Strong organizational skills to maintain logs and inventories
- Professional communication skills with guests and coworkers
- Ability to learn and use computer systems such as Quore and Hotel Effectiveness
Job Duties
- Provide excellent guest service in an efficient courteous and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry and facilities
- Sort and treat soiled linens and terry including stain treatment
- Operate washers and dryers according to manufacturer guidelines
- Fold and stock clean linens and terry
- Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries
- Maintain a professional appearance adhering to grooming and uniform standards
