Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior housekeeping experience in lodging, housing, hotels, hospitals, or care facilities preferred
- Ability to perform major life activities including standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating
- Ability to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift and/or carry 30 pounds unassisted
- Ability to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach, crawl, and kneel
- Ability to see and hear
- Ability to communicate with other associates and/or guests
- Honesty and trustworthiness
- Ability to pass appropriate security clearances
- Physical presence at the hotel during working hours required
- Ability to work any day/shift including weekends
- Maintain grooming and uniform standards
Job Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping experience in lodging, housing, hotels, hospitals, or care facilities preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of proper handling of linens, terry, and other supplies with sanitation and cost controls
- Ability to work within productivity standards and maintain logs and inventories
- Professional communication skills with guests and co-workers
- Ability to learn and use computer systems necessary for daily tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multi-tasking and remain service centric
Job Duties
- Provide excellent guest service in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner
- Maintain the laundry and facilities in a clean and orderly manner
- Receive and sort soiled linens and terry
- Treat stained linen when applicable and salvageable
- Operate washers and dryers according to manufacturer instructions
- Fold clean terry and linen and stock shelves and storage rooms
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries immediately
