Job Duties
- Receives soiled linens from laundry chutes and laundry carts
- Sorts, washes, dries, folds dirty linen and terry and properly stores clean linen
- Coordinates and distributes all cleaned linen and terry for housekeeping and food and beverage staff
- Operates laundry equipment including washer, dryer, flat iron, iron and board as needed
- Stocks all cleaned linen and terry in appropriate areas
- Keeps updated daily inventories of linen and terry to meet needs of hotel departments
- Replenishes laundry supplies from storage as directed
- Keeps all areas of department clean and organized including sweeping and mopping floors in laundry area
- Maintains cleanliness of washers and dryers by cleaning lint trays and dryer vents regularly
- Handles cleaning chemicals safely
- Adheres to OSHA regulations and company policies
- Assists in other areas of housekeeping as needed
- Responds timely to customer needs within 10 minutes
- Uses guest name at all times when on guest floors and in public areas
