Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in laundry or similar role preferred
- Ability to lift bundles weighing up to 75 pounds
- Ability to push or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 pounds
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow safety procedures and operate machinery safely
Job Qualifications
- Working knowledge of laundry chemicals and their effects on various linens
- Ability to prioritize and organize work
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style for different audiences
- Physical ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads
- Ability to stand for long periods with or without accommodation
Job Duties
- Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines
- Measure and administer cleaning agents according to product specifications
- Monitor washer information, ensure machines are fully loaded, report irregularities
- Set proper drying and cooling times for different linen types
- Clean up machines and surrounding areas
- Comply with attendance rules and work regularly
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
