Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years laundry or washperson experience preferred
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Must maintain professional appearance
- Ability to follow safety and security procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Flexibility in work schedule
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years prior laundry or washperson experience preferred
- Team player who works well in a group
- Dedicated and loyal to assigned tasks
- Flexible and able to set own schedule and goals
Job Duties
- Operate and monitor washing and drying machinery including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps
- Identify stained or damaged items for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard
- Inspect cleanliness of articles and place them in clean linen carts
- Set dryers to proper times and temperatures based on fabrics
- Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, filters, and traps after each load
- Fold cleaned articles manually or with folding machine
- Maintain accurate records of items laundered
